This is going to be the best year ever for Outreach for Christ! We have a brand new vision, strategy and business plan for reaching people with the love of Jesus Christ locally, regionally and possibly nationally. We are going back to the basics that this ministry was founded upon or our first love if you will as stated in Revelations 2:4-5.
Many years ago Ann Skinner started the toy ministry as the cutting edge to serve a noble cause. Now days there are so many ministries and charities that are able to fulfill this need much better than we can. Renting warehouse space, transportation, cleaning and refurbishing the toys has become a major siphon of our limited resources that does not directly contribute to salvation.
We will be significantly reducing our overhead expenses by creating symbiotic relationships with ministries that focus more on providing social services so that they will receive all of the furniture, clothing, bicycles, and appliances, we are currently storing, in exchange for providing them free of charge to newly released inmates establishing their own homes.
Our first love and primary focus has always been evangelism and we are now recalibrating to network with similar organizations to streamline operations.
Dr, Skinner must use his remaining time, energy and health to share Jesus and to train others to do the same. We are looking for believers to join us in this adventure to collaborate in street, jail and prison ministry to the glory of God! Next month we will publish the schedule for multidisciplinary evangelism and discipleship training to be held on Saturdays on the Outreach for Christ Campus.
Joyfully His,
Stacie Adams
Associate Minister, Evangelism
