Sometimes when a webpage becomes lethargic or unresponsive we need to press the refresh button in order to get it to operate at maximum capacity again. Our lives can become bogged down in much the same way but our "refresh button" is feeding on the word of God. That is exactly what we are doing here at Outreach while simultaneously praying for everyone affiliated with us. For this reason we are calling 2016 Our Year of Refreshment.
Last month we successfully (miraculously) streamlined our mission statement and facilities to be more effective than ever before in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with a much larger population. We significantly reduced our overhead expenses and manpower requirements while implementing a program for an ALL VOLUNTEER STAFF!
It is refreshing to read our bylaws (written 42 years ago) which comprise our mission statement; To operate exclusively for charitable, educational and religious purposes in proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ.
We are asking you to join us in praying for more volunteers since the harvest is very great and the workers are few. Whatever your interest may be we have a niche for you to serve our Lord with your talents. Here is a list of our ministries:
* Jail and prison visitation and Bible study
* Intercessory prayer groups
* Street evangelism teams
* Healing prayer visitation teams in hospitals
* Discipleship and mentoring programs
* Nursing home prayer visitation teams
* Prayer letter and newsletter mailing teams
* Evangelism workshops
What a joy it is to be in a position to give of your time to a cause bigger than yourself and to be a part of something with eternal consequences. We are seeking to provide you with hands-on opportunities for personal and spiritual growth by reaching out to a lost and hurting world right here in your own community. If you have always wanted to make a difference, this is your chance!!!
