Current Events:
· We are enjoying our Thursday Evening Bible Study! People start gathering at Outreach at 6pm. We always enjoy food, fellowship and an open study and discussion of the Word. It is truly a time of iron sharpening iron. Feel free to join us. We do it pot-luck style, so if you want to bring a dish, you can.
· We are looking for locations for the first Ministry House. We have looked high and low and far and wide. We have seen the good, the bad and sometimes ugly homes. Please pray for us to be guided to the exact place that God wants us to minister to people.
· We are also still praying for an opportunity to have a thrift store to help people on a larger scale. If anyone is in crisis, they will be able to go to their church for a voucher to receive the items needed for free.
· We have met many awesome people from many different churches and we are spending the next couple months visiting various local churches. We would love to put you on our visitation list. If you would like us to visit your church, please call to schedule.
· Here is a recent picture of us. We realize many of you have not met us yet. That is why we are visiting so many churches right now. Outreach has a huge network of people and we are trying to familiarize ourselves with everyone. When you say your prayers, please remember us and our five boys.
· We are still in need of volunteers in many different areas. There is much to do and we would love for more people to get involved. We have a new volunteer that is helping part-time in the office and we are very thankful for her commitment to give her time and energy even during difficult times.
· We are developing a budget to work with. We have cut costs in every area that we possibly can. We have paid down debt in our goal to be debt free and we are getting closer. We are asking that every person try to send at least ten dollars to help us push through this next hurdle. We have been working hard to accomplish these things since April. We are asking that you partner with us and get involved on the front lines of this battle. We are thankful for our faithful supporters and pray for them always. I know the Bible says- God loves a cheerful giver, but we love every giver! We know we cannot do this without you. Please pray about what kind of a financial donation you can make.
· We are so thankful to see the Lord at work in the lives of the people we are caring for. We have been able to help so many people this last month and look forward to even more next month. Our blessing bags for the homeless have made it all the way to Washington D.C. If you would like to come by the office and pick up a blessing bag to keep in your car for the next time you see a homeless person, we would love to hear the story. If you check our Facebook page, you will see some photos of people being blessed by our bags.
